Trying to pay attention but too much is going on @tarazkp. Sometimes I am a sprayer, other times I am a surfer of layers. Presently I am a naysayer. Some folks treat steemit like an airdrop and it's tiresome to keep on telling them that it would moon soon. Let them work with the negatives, if they can't stick around, well they won't be here for the positive.
Each has their path. take yours and let others find theirs. Many who use it like an airdrop are likely in for regrets. It is not like the information wasn't available here though.
I am not experienced on the world of Steemit, I cannot fully explain how blockchain works but reading and hearing some of the top witnesses, steem festival, etc. I know that Steemit has a better positive future and I am keeping the faith.
If you are really interested in having a long-term position here, it is good to start learning how some of the background pieces work or fit into the system. Nothing is handed out here, it has to be discovered.
"the organic nature of the Steem blockchain"
Steem is like a virus, it's strains mutating and spreading, some dying, some blossoming like flowers, all the different front ends competing for attention like naughty children, some getting spanked, some getting treats, and on and on it goes, where nobody knows.
It is organic, growing, evolving, changing, and nobody will ever fully comprehend the whole of it, as it's now too large to read every post, to view every video, to know every person come and gone, all round the world, yet this is what is encouraging about it. Evolution and change are engines of survival. :)
It is this aspect that will slowly erode the peaks of value and spread them wider so there are lower, but many more mounds of value.
I feel pretty fortunate to be involved at this stage. Maybe one day this will be the hidden core buried under all those apps.
Outsiders do not understand at all when I chuck a few dollars into Steemit. It is not about investment for me because a good investment would be free of emotion.
Steemit is an opportunity to maybe make a difference. Where else can I give away some money and have it regenerate to give again tomorrow?
I do agree with you on one point I absolutely love it.
Hopefully the penny I have to give now will one day be nickels or quarters, maybe even whole dollars.
People miss this side of it completely.
It can happen very fast in crypto :)
I think I'm a bit of a 'naysayer', but really, other than your posts, and one or two others who seem to be real people, I don't see much going on here other than bots voting on posts which seem to be either by bots, or about steemit's place in the crypto world.
As you might remember, I'm trying to stay positive here (i.e. - I don't downvote, preferring to use what power I have for good). Having found myself not all that keen lately, I've reduced my posting.
To me, my resistance to, and disgust with automated stuff ('spam', I label it all) prevents me from participating in the crypto-party, so mine will likely never be significant here.
I guess I'm asking, what IS here? The only things I have to say about steemit anymore are pretty critical. It's no different than any other platform, except that it doesn't work as well as a blog space.
I'll likely just walk away from it, but am considering turning my account over to some automated service, because that DOES seem to be what is valued the highest here...
Any other ideas for using up nearly 50 steem?
Have you looked into @dlive, @dtube, @steemhunt? Perhaps a change in format might bring your interest up? It is interesting the different views here because where I spend my time, most comments or votes of substance aren't automated, they are by real people. There are also discord communities that are filled with real people and chats where people hang out and share a laugh. It is a growing system, not a blog space alone. The blog aspect could be something in the future or, it could just be killed off completely as most people tend not to write or read as much as they used to in this world.
I have also felt the same way. I have a particular problem with the naysayers as they are more dangerous than even those who do nothing
They can also strengthen the resolve of those who are looking to grow as well as weed out those who are short-sighted. Not necessarily a bad thing except for those who buy in to their ideas/ideals blindly.
Great visual representation (although it kept developing from the center).
I like the idea of making sense of experience and putting it to work somehow. We'll always have to deal with ugliness, so it's up to us to be affected by it or shun it (turning it beautiful is too utopian).
I will have to describe myself as a sprayer. I try to be actively involved and genuinely want this place to flourish
