Yes there are a ton of ways that this blockchain, hence the token, can absolutely explode.
Appics looks like it is going after the Instragram market. I used Steepshot a few times but, from what I understand, Appics has a lot more functionality. The fact that they are bringing out their own token is a bonus. Plus it will be nice to see what kind of traffic, if any, it generates.
Either way, Steemians will benefit. To start, there is some kind of airdrop...secondly, there is something else paired with the steem token. And finally, whatever bandwidth they require will have to be purchased in STEEM.
