I am sure like me, many of you still have pending payments with Bubblews.
These networks aim to pay users a share of revenue or whatever directly.
Bubblews could not continue paying though it had a growing network because of the limited revenue. If I remember correctly, it used to pay 1 cent for each comment or like.
You were limited to posting 10 posts a day and larger your network was, easier it was to earn a few dollars on each post.
SteemIt follows a different model.
It doesn't rely on a limited advertising revenue, but the investment in its network and speculation of Steem on cryptoexchanges.
Where does the money come on SteemIt?
First, Steem never pays you a dollar directly. It pays you Steem dollars that you convert to Steem and get paid. Though, one steem dollar equals a dollar, they generate new steems every year.
Second, as long as the network has value for users and investors, it can continue flourishing.
Bubblews lost value for advertisers, though it was still a good network for the users. Many people used to share their creativity and personal stories. It was quite engaging.
A lot of users of SteemIt are also investing in SteemPower. Steem does't seem to go away out in the cryptoexchange either.
Moreover, developers can also build apps that work on the SteemIt network.
It looks promising. Unlike advertisors, money comes from speculators and investors. That was not the case with Bubblews.
Value it offers, content, network, maybe apps in future. What else do we need?
In future, maybe, there would be some further improvements, but for now, it seems to be promising enough.
Enjoy!!
