Why should I do this?
BTCC is one of the big Chinese exchanges - an addition to another big exchange like this will both raise awareness of Steem/Steemit and also help to increase volume and stabilise the price.
But I'm not on Twitter
Then make an account. Twitter is one of the best ways to spread the message about Steem/Steemit and to share your posts. Taking a couple of minutes to do this will help you and will help Steemit.

We are the only one of these coins that has an active social network/blogging platform - we should be wiping the floor with them.

I'm really excited to see what's going to happen with STEEM. I'm new to the community and I'm absolutely ecstatic about the potential this community and the cryptocurrency has. Updated results visible in my screenshot above. Looks already like we takin' over! I guess I'm gonna have to become an active member of twitter now, too. I've never really been much of a twitter user but I'm seeing more and more it's benefits. So you already know i retwerkyweeted or whatever, to my giant following. ;)

We're already ahead of Zcash in raw votes. We have over 1400 votes.
We've also just recently surpassed Litecoin and Ether Classic.
Only Ether, Ripple and NEM are ahead of us now. NEM has 1900 votes though so it will be tough to pass it.

I voted for Steem yesterday! It was down by a percentage point or two when I voted yesterday! Good to see it has a commanding lead!
It is only leading in the poll it is in. ETH has nearly twice the number of votes.
I think because the poll with Ethereum was the first one, it has gotten more votes. People have voted 7400 times in the first poll, 4000 times in the second poll, 3100 times in the third poll, and 2700 in the fourth poll. :(
Yes quite possible. The thing is we have a lot of people on Steemit - about 5K accounts active over the last 24 hours, and 13K over the last 7 days. Even if only 5K people vote that will put us in the lead (as it stands now).
That is very true! Steemit should have thousands of more votes than it currently has due to the # of active users. I wonder how many Steemit account holders do not have a twitter account?
A lot I suspect - most of the people I've spoken to either don't have an account or have an account that they have not used for so long they have lost the credentials.
Ugh! Twitter is a GREAT place to promote Steemit! I try to promote my posts through Twitter and my family will share them through Facebook! People ask what is Steemit after they see my post or a video of something crazy I have done!
