As you might know, I'm a german citizen.
And few hours ago - Germany lost against South Korea (0:2), which resulted in Germany being eliminated from the WM in the group-phase. A big step backwards from being the 2014 WM Winner.
While I'm not really a football fan - the team of your own country being eliminated so early in the WM is still a bummer.
But South Korea played really well - they had an amazing defense. They deserved the win.
And even though I haven't been in South Korea before - I really like the food. (and Running Man)
So I guess I'll eat some kimchi tomorrow and watch Running Man as celebration!
But that is not the main reason why I wanted to write this post.
The real reason is..
We are all Winners
Even though it's fun rooting for your own country-team - countries are just invisible borders.
And STEEM is one big multi-national place for everyone.
Everyone on STEEM is a winner!
Regardless of what country we are living in.
We are early adopters of an incredible technology, that will change the world in similar ways as the internet changed it before.
So for me - every day is a day for celebration

I was born and I live in Mexico and I'm also not a big fan of football. Actually I have German blood in my veins and I'm a little sad that Germany could not qualify. I'm against nationalism, but I think when it's a healthy competition the World Cup can be a very interesting event. I agree with you, everyone is a winner!
One of the things I like to remember if things aren't going just the way I'd like on Steemit, is that we're on the forefront of a new wave, the early adopters, and it's an exciting place to be.
And another things I really like about Steemit is the multinational component -- every day I see photos or read stories about places on the other side of the globe.

Yeah losing a world cup for last time winnera might be uset but the main spirit of game is to continue with the positive energy.
