While steem it has been making waves in the crypto world, Facebook announced it is exploring new ways for individual users to profit from their posts on the network, an article in verge said. A move that could be seen as a reaction to the exponential growth of a new game changer. My guess is that it would be too late for them when they are done exploring ways... am i right steem addicts?
The article also pointed that Facebook would not be the first social media platform to allow users to profit from their posts and cited what youtube did in 2007. The article forgot to mention about the new killer app.
Steem addicts what are your thoughts on this?

Whoa way too many tags at the bottom. It makes your post look terrible. You should probably have none. Why do people put tags there? You can already tag inside the system w/o cluttering your post with it. Also I think this is a misleading title. The article you link to never mentions Steem and Steem is almost definitely not on FB's radar in anyway. But thanks for the effort!
It's a tip jar. Unless they develop it beyond the concept that comes to mind hearing that. How can it success when there's a platform that rewards users based on attention gathered in the community without soliciting actual money from them. It'll be quite something to come even close
Precisely, its a desperate move for the inevitable... 9
they will have to come up with something better
Don't see how they can compete with shareholder's expectations of profits to answer to.
Yup that would denitely drain the pot
Oh wow! Facebooks days are numbered. Even if they attempt something similar to steemit, they are way too centralized and Facebook is becoming a very invase platform. Advertising has taken over and it is no longer a healthy platform in my opinion.
@benjieberingan i totally agree with... they wont be able to catch up unless they will change the entire platform. its just a tip jar their thinking as @clevecross was saying
tama ka jan sissy
seems like facebook apocalypse has began
Their fall will be faster than their rise. People already hate facebook. But they're hooked in. Once a better option comes along they will start using that and at some point there'll be a tipping point and then facebook will go the way of myspace. They just won't be able to compete with a steemit-style economy. It's interesting. People have always thought advertising is the way to make money online. All of these massive companies still losing money like twitter in the hope that one day they'll work out how to monetize themselves. Has Steemit worked it out? It'd be interesting if there was an option on Steemit to sell the data you create.
Its definitely on its way
i will share your article on facebook ! har har , facebook is already getting scared !...
