Haha what would be the goal of Steemit to avoid that the Steem increase? They are also interesting with more money I think.
Now if we see who could take advantage of this, perhaps we can also think about one who left steemit, created his own product and is planning to launch something similar of Steem and has plenty of money... You see who I mean?
You know when someone is able to put several millions on the table to buy one domain name for the competitor of steem, I can imagine he has also some more money to block any increase on the steem to freeze his competitor before the start of his product
mmmm most of the Steem are on the market (exchanges) and not on the wallets here
You see only moves on wallets here but there is much more moves that you don't see on exchanges. So I wouldn't be sure it is so related to the stake of Smeetit, let's say it is the only one we can mesure, it is all
I see your point now. Well, as you said, we cannot measure what we don’t see.
My point is that steemit should have got enough cost release already in order to relax a little the constant withdrawal to the exchanges. I will fully support your point if I see steemit and gsr-io accounts decreasing the weekly withdrawing amount.
If you are right, Steem should have a very long stagnant time...
it is just a theory, it is impossible to know who is controlling the price on Steem, at least at our level. I just try to open mind of people who always see the fault in Steemit. For sure they didn't help the last months and even years but not sure they are the only problem...

If someone has 10 millions of steem on Binance or Bittrex by example, he can control easly the prices and you don't see any moves here
