SMT's will be to steem, what erc-20 tokens are to Ethereum. They will be managed in their own platforms. One interesting SMT will be Appics, it will have Appics power and Appics dollars as well. Steem will be the crypto powering them. You will have to use those platforms to earn whatever SMT they are offering. On the brighter side, less steem will be in circulation as more of these tokens will be made and it will be the main trading pair, pushing steem further up in value. Once SMT's are released, watch Steem soar like it never has.
