The number of the active daily users is decreasing. Dropping, falling.
Do you know what is funny?
Most of the remaining users are still focusing on the money and the monetary value of the Steem.
Many of them are talking about whether Steem will reach $1 USD or not in 2020.
When I talk about users leaving Steem, some of them are starting to lecture me on "calmness".
Saying things like "calm down, the users will return, when the price of the Steem will be up again".
But let me ask you a question. What guarantess that the price of the Steem will go up again?
The greed and the selfishness of the people? The focusing on money? Thousands of users, who only focus only on their own blog posts, but they do not care about other people's blog posts? And another thousands of disappointed users because of the lack of the real human interaction? These things will only push the price of the Steem further down. And convince more people that the right choice is to leave the Steem blockchain, because it is doomed by its own users.
Nowadays the price of the Steem is around $0.12 USD.
Nowadays the number of the daily active users is around 30 000.
What people should do to increase both of these two values?
They should focus on real user interaction, not on money.
The monetary value will not come from nothing. The users should do something valuable.
For example using the Steem blockchain related websites with real interest in the contents by being social.
Being greedy and selfish is not valuable.
A bunch of greedy, selfish people will not attract investors, nor new active users.
There are more than 1.3 million Steem accounts. I do not know how many of these accounts used by real human users, but the Steem blockchain is surely have the user base to change the things.
I think that it is up to us. The users. We should make Steem valuable.
Well said, actual human.
I agree with your sentiment.
The price of Steem still follows the value of Bitcoin. So should there be another bull run then the price of Steem will go up.
Until then, we should focus our attention on making the people on the platform feel valued. Which in turn will attract new people.
"The price of Steem still follows the value of Bitcoin. So should there be another bull run then the price of Steem will go up."
If the users would be really social, then the price of the Steem does not have follow the price of the Bitcoin.
"Until then, we should focus our attention on making the people on the platform feel valued. Which in turn will attract new people."
Yes. That is what the users should do. But they are not doing it.
I am on the Steem blockchain since 2017.05.17, but no matter what I do, what I write about, how I interact with others, almost no one cares about my posts. Except my dPoll posts. But when I post anything with Steemit, Busy, the real human comments are often zero. Or only one or two. Many other people can say the same.
This made me (and many other people) post much less frequently. Actually, many other people even left the Steem blockchain because of this. So, good luck attracting new users (especially active users) with this attitude.
I think that I tell no secret when I say that even keeping the existing active users is hard with the current attitude of the users. The users themselves are dooming the Steem blockchain.
Oh, the real user interaction, yeah, i saw it lately.
People form voluntary steempolice groups, and say to the others, what to do and what not to do with their own stake. It is so nice. They hide it behind the "anti-abusing" words.
New members, and especially the investors want definitely this kind of people, who can make the decisions instead the members. The steem also need government, and overlords, and controll people, just like in the real world. We all see, how well works it in the real world :D
This is the funny.
