I've been living about 700 miles away from my family since the age of 17 and the only times we can see each other are the holidays. The "best" Christmas present idea is probably different from people to people. However, for me it was this: after a tough year with its ups and downs, I went bact to my hometown to surprise my parents and my little sister for holiday. And when I went back, my little sister gave me a bunch of letters that she'd written ovet the year. She is 12 btw. Each letter contains a story about a day she'd spent without me. And at the end of every letter she wrote why I should be happy even though we cannot see each other all the time. That was a really great present for me. So when I feel sad, I take one of the letters and read it and at the end, there is a reason why I should be happy and that makes me happy :)
Sometimes saying "I love you" and meaning it is the best present.
