They say that the first impressions are the strongest. Maybe that's why I remember most of all the very beginning of my Steemit-journey.
9 months ago, when I was just starting to get acquainted with Steemit and write my first posts, I had a lot of questions. Well, you know, the usual questions from the beginner: the power of the voice, the flags, the statistics, the voting bots, and the full transparency of all operations here. At that time there was still no such great FAQ as we have now. I wrote a post about all my questions, https://steemit.com/steemit/@erikaflynn/some-questions-about-functionality-of-steemit-is-this-bugs-or-features
and received extensive explanations from two authoritative people at the time @penguinpablo and @merej99 (must be, you know them both).
I did not expect at all that someone would answer me, and I was pleasantly surprised at this level of responsiveness and attention to newcomers from old-timers. From them I first learned about Steemdb, where you can check your Voting Power and other statistics, and also found out that the Steem wallets are completely transparent. Just do not laugh, then I seriously thought it was a bug. They turned my world upside down.
And a few days later I met you, @good-karma, and received an offer to participate in the translation of eSteem. It was a point of no return, since then I decided to stay on the Steemit, and leave here a piece of myself. It was 9 month ago...
