I kinda want a marketplace for steem with searchable categories rather than getting redirected via links to 3rd party sites which i hate. Not sure if it can be programmed but would be interested to find out.

I think I understand what you mean. I think communities, which is in development as I understand it, will help with this kind of issue. Eventually there will be a steem tool which unifies and gives access to all the best, most commonly used tools from within a single user interface.
