So many people are better than us.
More successful.
More charitable.
More intellectual.
More influential.
Smarter.
Stronger.
Faster.
And we couldn’t be happier!
Better people push us to be a better person.
To work harder.
To think smarter.
To grow as a person.
To help those less fortunate.
Many better people have lent us their hand to lift us higher; to become better.
We couldn't be more thankful.
Casey started her own little company.
It pays her rent and puts food on her table.
It gives her some "going out" money.
Like so many, she could have called herself "Founder" or "Principal" or "CEO".
But she decided to just be "Casey".
That's who she is and all she ever want to be.
Those other titles signify being "the best" at something, and she have a long way to go.
She have always wondered what it would be like to be the best at something -- to be better than everyone else.
Would we lend a hand to lift others up, or would we beat them down with a stick?
After all, being the best at something can be a very lonely position.
Next time we find someone better than us, embrace them, help them become even better.
We'll become better too!
And if we truly are the best, well, we have our work cut out for ourselves.
