RE: SteemBasicIncome Is Not As Useful As You Think

in #steembasicincome7 years ago (edited)

It also depends on steem price. If steem rises you will earn your investment back much sooner.
It’s all about sustainability I guess. You need to post regulary and be active to earn it back which is actually a good idea.
Of course it’s not perfect but I think it has potential.

I also read future improvements like upvoting comments.

even if you post regularly you will stll need to post about 50 times to get an ROI on 1 share. Also when you post more frequently your upvote from @steembasicincome decreases on a sliding scale so it will actually take longer if you post more often in a day. your increase i income come if you decide to basicaly spend more via upvotes and delegations to the program. this type of process creates diminishing returns and is not conducive to the actual mission of a basic income project.

especially since basic income is based on membership, whereas this program is actually a job where you have to write posts and do other things to actually earn anything worth having. i just feel that this program is more of hindrance for minnows who could easily buy delegations.

its good they are trying to improve the experience here on steemit I just want to make sure at least my readers understand the facts about ROI and profitability of @steembasicincome.
