You can trade between STEEM and SBD in the market. Go to your wallet, under STEEM or Steem Dollars click "market". You can then trade for STEEM using SBD.

No problem.
I usually try to trade when I can get more of the one I want for the one I have.
Ex: It might cost 1 SBD to buy 1.128 STEEM.
