yea well, the whalewars are beyond control of @steembasicincome itself, maybe you noticed or maybe not but they don't get $1500 trending posts, its purely driven by community and participation, no cookies from utopian , no whale-backing, if they did the output would increase dramatically but i suppose they believe in independence just like i do so these things take time and community effort and no one can just go against some korean or chinese whale or whoever it is that has been selling off until SBD price is virtually zip, if that goes up again payout goes up again since votes are worth more, but until then its waiting,
i know one thing, sbi is probably the only system i have found so far that gives actual ROI ... ive seen all kinds of schemes ... pay 3 steem +1 per month for a 0.1 upvote, ... which comes down to in the end at 30 posts (1 per day) you get an estimate of $3.0 which , divided by 2 will get you at best 1.5SBD, but that still needs minus 25 percent curation (because bots get curation for voting on you ofcourse, just like any other account so while your steempower gradually increases you actually put in more than you get out) , and its like that with most things
@steembasicincome on the other hand has lifelong votes for shares, which you buy once, so over time you WILL get back what you invested, assuming both you and they stay active ofcourse
its really the only system so far i have seen that actual ROI, i'm looking at others but i dont know those long enough to speak about it
it might not be much but over time you get back what you put into it, so if you know a whale with spare votes, thell him to put some of that $500 per vote votes overhere lol
people pretend to be all cultural and lofty and life-saving guru here, but basically EVERYONE's here for the money at one level or another
anyone who says they're not is very likely trying to sell you something lol
Thanks for this clear explanation. I'm still trying to figure this all out and it helps! I'm keen on the lifelong votes for shares and the project in general! I'm going to keep putting my little bit back in, bit by bit to try support the platform.
