Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Enrollment
If you want to get involved, or to increase the share of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:
any active Steemian, it does not have to be a current member.Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We are not currently accept SBD for enrollments. The current delay on enrollment processing is 2-3 days.

Got involved in that Formula 1 and wanted to get involved in the football betting one, but we don't quite understand Asian handicap betting. Nvm. Looking out for more!

When we add ourselves and a friend do they get a comment notification or do they just start to see mysterious love on their posts? :)
We send a confirmation transaction on initial enrollment, but not on subsequent enrollments.

Just to clear some things up: If I decide to increase my share / sponsor more people I just sen 1 or more STEEM to @steembasicincome and in memo write the @useriwanttosponsor then my share increases that means I get bigger up votes every week for the rest of the time as long as steemit and your channel exist? Please correct me if I am wrong.
