Steemit can be a difficult place to start out on these days I'm told, unless you know someone who has been on the platform for a long time or spend some money on a little Steem Power. Getting a post to pay out at all can be a difficult task. I won't even try to go into details of what is wrong with steemit, I don't think I have a clue anyways, instead I will try and help do something about it. We are going to try this every day for 30 days, giving out 3 or more sponsorships into steembasicincome.

I recently entered a #steemit writing competition hosted by @foxyspirit which consisted of sharing photos of your tattoos with brief explanations of their meaning. As I traversed my body reminiscing about the various body art adoring my more than ample body,lol. I began to question why I did not pursue more of this passionate art form and medium of self-expression. There were a few answers whispered from that wonderful guy that resides behind my eyes. He mentioned restrictions about visible tattoos at previous jobs. He reminded me that at my current career I was not just yet where I wanted to be and so I have stalled on getting more. And then he came to the limiting factor of expenses of pursing well crafted tattoos.
With an increase in #steemitbasicincome shares and the overall value of #steem , I could build a dedicated pool of finances to continue with my insatiable fascination with tattoos. I mentioned to a fellow steemian and contest in the tattoo contest that I wanted so many tattoos that I wanted INTERPOL to mistake me for a member of the yakuza! I'm talking full sleeves, legs, neck, chest, back, etc. I what the ability to possibly moonlight at a freak show in my spare if I so desire. That's what I mean when I mentioned meandering down the rabbit-hole of tattoo obsession. With more disposable income, my body becomes a canvas again.....I can be a living tapestry of trials and triumphs, of my success and failures. I can share my unique experience on this planet without uttering even a mere whisper......

I joined Steemit because I love the idea of being paid directly for the value I add to my online communities. The possibility of earning even an extra $100 per month is enough to get me here to try to make it work. I believe in the potential of cryptocurrency to change many lives for the better.
We live in a capitalistic society. Money is a basic need. In a society like this things don't move without funding. Money in the hands of good people allows them to do their good work. I can say without reservation, I am good people. Money in my hands benefits my community. It allows me to do good work.
I mostly agree with the sign this woman holds. But I can't do anything with nothing forever. It's not sustainable. I need funds to do my work.
So I'm here on steemit, shouting into the void. I am faithfully producing content daily knowing that it will pay off eventually. Even if I don't earn much here, I've already connected to a new community and my daily work will lead to growth in other ways.
I am creating a learning community for youth artists in my hometown of Sacramento, CA. With needing to meet face-to-face, there are costs to operating an organization like this. We need to pay rent, insurance, buy supplies, and pay staff. It takes money. I'm now doing "so much with so little." Again, it's not sustainable, but I am trying to get to where I am creating revenue. It's hard to do that when you're starting with nothing.
In closing, a steembasicincome would be huge. I just got here and I earn zero on most of my posts. I would appreciate any amount of attention or pay for my contributions. I am also really good at being a community cheerleader. I do this pro-bono. I love to see people grow and have their lives improve.
