Ibises
Here are a few photos of Ibises that I've taken over the past few years. I would have had a lot more to post, but many are on my other computer that has crashed and is awaiting parts to rebuild. The Ibis was considered a sacred bird in ancient Egypt. Many were mummified and buried along with the wealthy. So many in fact that they were raised for the sole purpose of ending up being killed and mummified.
The White Ibis is common here in Florida. They are often seen foraging for grubs in lawns after a rainfall.
