Greetings brothers of the Church of Steem, today I received the heart of the beatitude, thanks to @lorennys for explaining the steps in the whole Telos expansion process.
(Thanks @Sirknight for the beatitud)
My favorite Bible verse that I sent in the Beatitude Memo is:
Blessed are the meek, for they shall receive the land for an inheritance.
Matthew 5: 5
In these days I have been able to verify how often people associate the word meek with weak. Perhaps one of the main causes why this happens is that some dictionaries give a secondary definition of the word meek as "very submissive". So many wonder: What would the Lord have tried to say when he said:
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5: 5).
This does not seem to be too clear, right? At first glance, no, but I'm sure Jesus would never say: "Blessed are the submissive, for they will inherit the earth."
But if we want to know what God meant in Matthew 5: 5 we must first discover the meaning that he gives to the word "meek", and this we can only learn by reading other biblical texts and not a common dictionary. The bible always teaches us with the same bible.
Being gentle according to the scriptures denotes humility, it is an attitude toward God through which believers accept to be treated as he wishes, without offering resistance or contention. In his brief journey through the land Jesus left us a clear example of this, he always delighted in doing the will of his Father.
The meekness that the Lord manifested towards men was the fruit of power, he was meek because having at his command the infinite resources of God could have prevented his crucifixion by asking the angels to protect him or simply by destroying his adversaries using the sword of his voice, but he did not and in return he told his anguished and overwhelmed followers:
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:29).
Undoubtedly Jesus Christ was and is the best and most excellent example of meekness and humility !.
