Prayer is the raising up of our mind and heart to God. Man was created to give glory to God for his our king. How often do we pray? Do we pray only in bad times or in both good and bad times. Prayer helps to connect us to God. It is through prayer we are able to communicate with God. There some passages in the bible that talks about prayer

If we have a good habbit of praying it will come to strengthen us when we need it most. Prayer is one of the things nobody else can do in our place. It is our own mind and heart we have to raise. When our prayers are been answered we should also give him thanks. This is one thing many christians fail to do. When therefore, you pray, want God, want his life in you, want his love around you, want his happiness to be yours, want to show that you know about him and his goodness, want himself. Note that the word 'amen' is an expression of desire, of wanting something urgently. And is meant to speed up our prayer up like an arrow to God.
I conclude by saying the prayer jesus taught us " our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is thy kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever, amen.
