Greetings,

Peace be with you all parishioners of steemchurch, today is my pleasure to share with you another topic Do not go to Egypt

Now, the Bible discloses that the second time famine occurred took effect in the days of Isaac on the land called Gerar. Gerar means " drag away ". He desired for a shift of destination and dwelling from Gerar to Egypt but God said, " Go not down to Egypt: dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of "

Let us read what the scriptures actually says:
Genesis 26:1-6

"And there was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines, unto Gerar."
"And Jehovah appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:"
"sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;"
"and I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these lands; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;"
"because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws."
"And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:"

Famine is an extreme shortage of food. Bible accord it as the judgement of God against his people

2 Samuel 21:1
"And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites."

Let us also read something from,

1 Kings 17:1
"And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the sojourners of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As Jehovah, the God of Israel, liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word."

Isaac, a seed of Abraham who thought could be enjoying the promises of his father was experiencing the dryness in life. As at that time, Egypt was a land flowering with abundance of food and water. The human wisdom can tell us that he should shift in place to earn greener pastures but the intention of God is the ultimate. Note these brethren, that " *thousands of man's intention is less proportional to one action of God.

Egypt may seems to be the place and period in life where life presents itself as enjoyable but have you considered what Elohim says about you....? You may be lacking something to satisfy the human's desire but the Bible says many are the counsel of man but the counsel of God will stand. Dear one, you can be in your worst situation but God can locate you to allocate your portion onto you as a bond servant and child of light.

Obedience is better than sacrifice, there will be a way that may seems right and just before man but remember to always seek God intervention and guidance in whatever we may do.

No condition should distract us from following God and make us stop serving us Him for no condition is permanent in this life. God has already assured us in His word that he will never leave us nor for sake us. We should always stay connected to Him no matter what. @bigssam

Thanks for sharing with me brother.

In all situations let's all allow the counsel of the lord to hold in our life. There is something amazing l love about your piece "Dear one, you can be in your worst situation but God can locate you to allocate your portion onto you as a bond servant and child of light."

In whatever situation we find ourself, we should always ask God for directions and we should listen to him and do whatever He says.

the grass may seems greener on the other side

But if God ask us to stay, we should obey Him

Yes that is why in christian life obedient is better than sacrifice.

hmm, what a wonderful write up. i have heard so much about Egypt most especially the stories shared in the bible about Moses and King Pharaoh.
thanks for this update.

Sharing the word is my hobby, and will continue to do that to win more souls for Christ.

Don't give up on God, The Bible tells us that God will never allow temptations into our lives that are too much for us to handle.

That is very true dear friend

No condition ought to occupy us from following God and influence us to quit serving us Him for no condition is perpetual in this life. God has officially guaranteed us in His oath that he will never abandon us nor for purpose us. We ought to dependably remain associated with Him regardless. @bigssam

Good to see you friend

God through our Lord Jesus Christ have redeemed us all from the land of Egypt, and to have this advantage, is to walk in consciousness that is believing
