OBEDIENCE BRINGS THE BEST
Isaiah 1:19 -20
If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love HIM
(1Cor 2:9).
GOD has prepared the best for those who love HIM. If ye love ME, keep MY commandments (John 14:15).
This simply means that the best has been prepared for those who keep HIS commandments. What guarantees us the best from GOD is not our giving, prayer, nor fasting but our willingness to obey what HE says. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy GOD, to observe [and] to do all HIS will commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy GOD will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: (Deut 28:1).
Whatever is keeping you from being obedient to GOD is also denying you of the best from GOD. Why settle for less when you can have the best. Rebellion will only expose you to GOD'S anger. Who can stand the anger of GOD? As we gradually get to the end of the first quarter, be willing and obedient and GOD will bless you with the best this year. We pray that the grace to be always obedient will be released to us.
Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. (Is 3:10)
It was Abraham's faith that made him righteous. Ultimately, though, obedience is faith in action. Abraham's obedience to God's words showed his faith in God. Obedience is a key fundamental in our walk with Christ. Great word for the day.
