POVERTY FOR RICHES

2Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, that, though HE was rich, yet for your sakes HE became poor, that ye through HIS poverty might be rich.

The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; (Psalm 24:1).
Everything on earth is the LORD's, including food, money, gold, silver, land, clothes, etc.
Though JESUS had all these things,but HE became poor so that you can be rich.
JESUS was not poor in HIS earthly ministry. HE had more done HE needed and had someone (Judas) to keep the excess.
He(Judas) did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag,(John 12:6).
JESUS exhibited a high level of poverty on the cross. HE was thirsty but did not have water, HE was hungry and there was no food for HIM and to crown it all HE was naked.

What more can be used to discribe poverty? The poorest in our communities have water to drink, food to eat and something to cover themselves.
JESUS suffered this level of poverty that you may experience abundance in every aspect of your life. My GOD shall supply all your needs according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS (Philippians 4:19). Beloved, no matter the hardship you may be going through, tell yourself that you can never be poor because JESUS has already paid for your abundance.

Signifance of Christ life

To reveal the true character of God
They reveal christ's victory over satan
They show us how to live
Christ life was in itself a sacrifice
And the perfect divine-human life qualified Christ to die for every person's sin's

And GOD is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:
(2 Corinthians 9:8)
