When one is a Christian there is no hatred in his heart. When Jesus comes into our heart He brings love. Apostle Paul calls that love charity, and tells us what it will do: "**Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity environment not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up..... thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth" (1 Corinthians 13:4-6).

Jesus said, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you... For if you love them which love you, What reward will you have? Do not even the publicant the same (Matthew 5:44-46).

Some many think they are Christians because they do not go the theaters, nor drink intoxicating liquor, nor smoke cigarettes; but they think evil thoughts about their neighbors, or hate someone who has wronged them. If there are such in our hearts we should ask God to show us where we stand before Him.

We would not want to go through life doing good deeds and thinking that they would take us to heaven, and then find at the judgement that the hatred in our heart which no one could see had kept us out of eternal life. "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another".

Apostle James, too, realized the need of that love; " if you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself, but if you have respect to persons, you commit sin and are convinced of the law as transgressors" ( James 2:8,9)

All the self-righteous deeds of the Jews did not gain them favor with God. Jesus told them "Ye pay tithe of mint and anise and Cummings, and have omitted the weighting matter of law, judgment, mercy and faith: These ought you to have done and not to leave the other undone" ( Matthew 23:23).

A Christian is a Christian based on the things which are considered to be heavenly, in a great community such as steemchurch there is call for love and kindness, we must abhor favouritism, hate and malice so as to join hands together In the fellowship of God.

We should allow love to reign in our midst because it is out of love that Christ surrendered his life just for us to be saved and have a part in the heavenly inheritance.

Right you are, love is the first commandment. May God give us grace to open up fully to his knowledge
