The name "Christian" was first given to the devotees. (Acts 11:26) So a Christian is likewise a pupil. The conditions for being a pupil are unmistakably composed in Luke 14:26-27,33, "In the event that anybody comes to Me and does not abhor his dad and mom, spouse and youngsters, siblings and sisters, truly, and his own life likewise, he can't be My supporter."
Our association with our folks, marriage accomplice, kids, belonging and our future in this world must accord to what Christ shows us.
We must be free from them in our soul, so our relationship to them doesn't ruin us from making the right decision and unadulterated in God's eyes.
It is an extraordinary misconception to feel that being a Christian is the same similar to a purported "exculpated miscreant", inferring that he is as yet bound to proceed in transgression. In the verses underneath, we show signs of improvement comprehension of what the will of God is for us, as to sin.
"My little kids, these things I keep in touch with you, so you may not sin." 1 John 2:1. "I keep in touch with you, young fellows, since you have conquered the evil one." 1 John 2:13. "Presently thanks be to God who dependably drives us in triumph in Christ … " 2 Corinthians 2:14.
A Christian has a decent inner voice; he has put his past life all together; every one of his activities are in the light.
Every one of his wrongdoings are pardoned; he is grounded in God and has constructed his life on the Rock, which is Christ. He is resolute.
Being a Christian does not mean you are a religious "meeting-goer," somebody who goes to Christian gatherings as opposed to spots of worldy stimulation, however generally is much the same as other individuals. Not under any condition! A Christian is somebody who carries his life into finish concordance with the Word of God and His will.
He is honorable where others are wicked; he is understanding where others are restless, tireless where others are sluggish, and correct where others are estimated.
He talks reality strikingly where others compliment, play the scoundrel, and lie.
He is submissive, forgiving, and calm where others are hot-tempered and hasty, and so forth (1 Peter 1:15)
Being a Christian implies that he is totally unselfish. It implies that he begins considering the others' needs, God works it in his heart: what is great and down to earth for them and what might profit them. At that point, at that point, as per his capacity, he causes them to acquire it. Christianity is synonymous with serving and giving—giving of all that we have, both of profound and natural merchandise.
This is the substance of affection. (Romans 15:2,7)
A Christian is some person that isn't being impacted by the soul of the circumstances. A substantial number of individuals on the planet are living in wrongdoing. They take after their interests and wants and few think it isn't right. There is a soul behind them, and this soul is called "the soul of the circumstances." It is especially hard to oppose this soul. What is ordinarily known as "design" is illustrative of this soul.
A wicked individual can be compared to an inert puppet. At whatever point some power pulls the strings, he needs to hop and move, regardless of whether he needs to or not.
A Christian has Christ as his sole Lord and ruler. At that point he doesn't obey different forces; he doesn't comply with the styles or the soul of the circumstances, regardless of whether every other person does.
Being a Christian implies that that individual is noble in every one of his undertakings. Along these lines on the off chance that he has stolen anything or conferred some other demonstration of wickedness, he will make compensation when he turns into a Christian. On the off chance that he is paying off debtors, he will bend over backward to pay it back. There is no chance to get around it.
In this regard it doesn't engage the reparation. On the off chance that he doesn't rehearse honesty, he isn't a Christian by any means, and he won't enter the kingdom of God. "Everybody who hones uprightness is conceived of Him." 1 John 2:29.
A Christian, due to his dynamic triumph over his own particular desire and wants, begins to appreciate consummate rest in his heart and psyche. His life, being cleaned by the assistance of his Savior, turns out to be increasingly faultless and irreproachable.
Nobody can any more extended blame show sin, for example, upheavals of outrage, disturbance or any profaneness.
As the Christian acknowledges the energy of the Holy Spirit in his life to an ever increasing extent, he normally winds up more grounded and more grounded by a similar Spirit.
The Christian can persist trials, uneasiness, great report and abhorrence report. This he does as he is certain that he serves a reliable Master.
What was incomprehensible for him previously, he is currently ready to overcome.
This is particularly seen by those that are themselves needing overcoming.
A Christian has a decent inner voice; he has put his past life all together; every one of his activities are in the light.
Every one of his wrongdoings are pardoned; he is grounded in God and has constructed his life on the Rock, which is Christ.
He is resolute.

We cal our selves Christians without knowing the implications if what it takes to be called a Christian.
When you accept christ and do exactly what he tells you in the scriptures you are a Christian.
In a modern day Christianity, they have turned it to another way and another religion .
The purpose of Christ is no more in practice and people no longer do what the bible deem us to do.
As a christian that you call yourself do remember to work in the vineyard of the Lord by doing his work .
Let him control all you have and your life will be an example to others .
As a Christian we must exhibit a characteristics to that of Jesus Christ in other to inherit the promise land.
True characteristics of christains are those with the fruits of the holy spirit, nice post here @daniho
If you could posses all these Christian characteristics their is always a Christian’s reward
Having been faithful to God by obeying his commandments as given to him by God’s Son, Jesus Christ, a Christian will be rewarded with everlasting life.
John 3:36. “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him
Christlike behavior is what is required from a true believers. It hurts me to see some beloved brethren who preach the gospel but remain in a questionable character.
If christ is in us, it should reflect in our life and how we relate to people.
God bless you for this article.

As Christians, we are supposed to always love God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Thanks @steemchurch for sharing this great post.
Honestly, It's one thing for someone to say I'm a Christian, while is another thing for him or her to act and live as one. Christianity is not a religion, but a lifestyle, projecting relationship with Christ.
As a matter of fact, Christianity was founded on love and sacrificial living consistent with the will of God-- perfectly exemplified by the life of Christ. And genuinely being a christian, one's life is expected to portray or emit LOVE-- which is a major component of the fruit of the spirit, as stated in Galatians 5.
No doubt, certain attributes need to take practical expression to show that a regeneration has taken place in man's spirit.
