Rebellion And Wrong Association
To rebel is to be against constituted authority deliberately and this exposes a man to attacks of the enemy. The Bible says the rebellions stays in the desert. It is considered as witchcraft and the sentence is death. This is in most cases go side by side with wrong association. it is the group of people with Absalom that pushed him to his death.
Be careful of ungodly association, who you walk with will with determine where you end up in life. Your association determines your allocation.
He that walketh with the wise men shall be wise; but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Laziness And Slothfulness
By much slothfulness is the building decayeth and through idleness of the hands the house dropped through.

Ancestral or generational link
There is a story of people in the book of Joshua chapter 9, who came deceitfully to make alliance with Israelites on their journey to Canaan. As a result of their act, Joshua, the man of God put them under a curse and a limitation. He made it an everlasting curse upon them, which was to affect their unborn children.
And Joshua called for them, and they spake unto them, saying, whereof have ye beguiled us, saying, we are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?. Now therefore, ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being boundmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of God. And Joshua made them that day, hewers of wood and drawers of water for congregation, and for the altar of the Lord, even unto this day in the place which he should choose.

The relation of this event is that, from that day up-till-date, the highest level a Gibeonite can get to is "hewers of wood and drawers of water". A limit is placed upon their glory. But today, if you are born again and you know and enforce your right in Christ Jesus, you will get your Best.
