Greetings to the @steemchurch and its apostles, greetings to fellow parishioners of the @steemchurch. And appreciation to @sirknight the founder of the @steemchurch. Today I want to share with you a quick word on something that came to mind this morning. Talking less and thinking more.
You will agree with me that some people hide their fears and weaknesses in talking a lot. They tend to prevent themselves from thinking about their problem by making their mind occupied with talking. This act is wrong. Problems or weaknesses should be dealt with by having the right thoughts on the way to solve them, not hiding from them. Our mind benefits us more than our mouth when it comes to improving ourselves. The time used for talking too much can rather be used to listen more and thinking even more.
As believers, the Bible tells us to use our minds more often than we use our mouths. We already know that our mind is very powerful, so we should make use of it more often than we make use of mouth. When you think more and speak less, the words that comes out from your mouth will be that of wisdom.
The fool will talk, the wise will listen and reason.
"The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.
28 Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues".
Proverbs 17:27-28 NIV
"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
James 1:19 NIV
" a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
Ecclesiastes 3:7 NIV
Thinkers rule the world. A man who thinks more and speak less always have the element of surprise behind him. I leave you with this words
" There is wisdom in silence"
