Dear Community!
It seems that the world is in free fall. The economy is overwhelming, ethics in politics, both in Venezuela and in other countries, is so decadent that people are no longer frightened by news of fraud, scandals and political falls.
The word fall surpasses stock exchanges and human morals. It is present, too, in the spirituality of the people and in the commitment to the sacred, the divine. Remembering family, friends, the Church, commitments to the Creator, for many, only happens when they feel defeated, fallen by diseases, or scared by death.
Please, this is not your case...
The media shows people succumbing, falling, dying, defeated by alcoholic beverages, drugs, prostitution, etc.
The word of God alerts us to the dangers of falls. The human being fell in paradise, fell before the Tower of Babel, fell in Sodom and continues to fall daily in our society. Falls hurt, bring wounds, leave marks, scars.
Caution! Do not fall! Sign in the Word of God, pray, appear to your community, participate in communion. Share with your family, friends, tell how much you love them.
God gives us help, security to avoid falls. Unfortunately, each one of us, for various reasons, moves away from the means of grace (prayer, fasting, etc.) and, when we least expect, we fall. Now, if the world is in free fall, do not reflect on the world, but focus on the Creator of the world: Jesus. If you fell, get up holding in the hands of Christ, who died on the cross for you and me.
It is not easy to be a Christian, no, we fight daily against the flesh, against the principalities and powers, there is a battle that we fight every day against the wills of our flesh, and there are also the spiritual battles that we face every day against the enemy of our souls. Perhaps that is why the apostle Paul, a great man of God, warned the Corinthian church, that everyone who thinks he is standing, that is to say, be firm, strong, that he watches not to fall. (2 Corinthians 10:12)
Unfortunately, they think they are perfect, holy and implacable.
Big mistake!
Do not think that the enemy appears in our life making a big bang! If so, we would run to the arms of God and seek his help immediately. Therefore, evil comes in small arrows, small thoughts, gossip, images, little things that leave you inside the church, but weak, "hot" as the word says. It is known that the interest of the enemy is not to get anyone out of the church as many think, but to get away from the presence of God. Just as he deceived a third of the angels, he wants to drag with his deceptions.
The Bible itself alerts us!
"Therefore, beloved, knowing this, keep not to be led by the error of those who have no moral principles, nor lose their firmness and fall, grows, nevertheless, in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to Him be the glory, now and forever, Amen. " (2 Peter 3: 17,18)
Dear Friends, in those difficult times, where the Christian faith has been questioned, let us grow in Grace by reaching favor and help from God as we know the Lord more and more, because only then will we be with our firm faith and persevering in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
