Spiritual warfare is all about resisting or countering the manipulations and attacks of Satan against our lives. Satan's ultimate goal is to turn our hearts against God. Deception, discouragement and accusation are some of the weapons he employs in order to achieve his goal.
" Therefore, take up the full armour of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything to stand firm." "Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace."
Ephesians 6:13-15
Truth is one of the powerful defensive pieces of armor we can employ against the Wiles of Satan. When, we hold on firmly to the truth of God's word, it will be difficult for Satan to succeed in deceiving us thereby breaking our fellowship with the Lord.
Acts 5:1-11, Ananias and Sapphiras fellowship with the Lord came to an abrupt end because they chose to lie rather than tell the truth. They lost the battle to the devil as a result of their wrong choice.
We can keep our position in the Lord and not expose ourselves to satanic attack when we maintain the truth at all times and in all situations. The evil days will surely come when the devil will attempt to pull us down from his position but we must have on our belt of truth amongst other pieces of spiritual armour if we must win the battle.
