What is the honor?
In the sense associated with the verb honor, the word derives from the Greek timao, which refers to great esteem and consideration towards something or someone. In this way, the honor of the people refers to personal honor that includes respect, decorum, humanity and integrity.
The biblical meaning of the word honor derives from the Hebrew kabôd which indicates glory. Honoring God and parents, for example, involves praising and esteeming them through obedience, respect, admiration and retribution.
Synonyms of honor are: respect, esteem, glory and admire.
When we honor God, he hears our plea and protects us, no one who honors the heavenly Father ends up in shame, we must honor God, so that we can experience that He honors us.
"I will honor those who honor me, and those who despise me will be held in little," 1 Samuel 2:30
Honoring, respecting, reverently fearing and loving God is the strongest and most powerful thing we can have in life. The opposite of honoring is to despise, it is to ignore God; nothing compares with the attitude of our heart before God and he is very aware of what is in our heart.
"The LORD will be with you, as long as you are with him. If you seek it, he will let you find it; but if they leave him, he will abandon them ", 2 Chronicles 15: 2
To honor means to ask for forgiveness for our sins, recognizing our weakness. It means decorating him with the first place in the decisions we make, always based on his will. To have as a principle of life to request their help, is to seek their wisdom, is to put our burdens and weaknesses in their hands, is to rest in their infinite power.
To honor God is to be interested in knowing what He wants and has for us. It is being flexible to correct our path. It is to bend our knees before Him, recognizing His greatness. To honor is to fill our thoughts with everything that comes from the Lord's presence and obey Him.
To honor God is to put our time to evangelize to bring his word of love and salvation to those who walk like sheep without a shepherd.
To honor God is to do it with humility, without exhibitions and also seeking the adulation of others but to please Him.
To honor God is to give him glory, praise, rename him, give him what he deserves.
To honor God is to help those who need, be good at our jobs, with our parents, neighbors, friends. All our life must be to Honor God and we will receive blessings.
To honor God is to honor our Fathers, our spiritual leaders, our Pastors, is to do everything in order.
Let us honor God with all that we are and with all that we have always leaving his name on high, not giving false testimonies or doing what He does not like.
Practice the honor by remaining faithful and loyal to God and His anointed ones, because this will bring blessing to your present and future generations, just as it happened to the generations of Jonathan and David. Well, Jesus himself was part of the genealogy of King David. Our King Jesus Christ also extends us mercy and forgiveness, gives us the opportunity to live in a blessed country where we can enjoy his blessing despite the tribulation. Our beloved Venezuela.
