After the Sabbath, at the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the sepulcher. And behold, there was a great earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and coming near, he stirred the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his garment was white as snow; and from fear to him the guards trembled and remained as dead. And speaking the angel, said to the women: Vosotras, fear not; because I know that you are looking for Jesus, the one who was crucified. He is not here, because he has risen, just as he said. Come, see where he lay. And go quickly, and tell your disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He goes before you into Galilee; There you will see him. Behold, I have told you. And they, rushing away from the tomb with fear and great joy, ran to give the news to their disciples. And behold, Jesus met them, saying: Hail! They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them: Do not be afraid. Go, tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me. And while they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and informed the chief priests of all that had happened. Matthew 28: 1-11
The text teaches us how the Lord Jesus Christ rewarded a group of women, who showed that they truly loved him with all their heart, and that they served him loyally and faithfully during his earthly ministry.
The women developed a very important service in the earthly ministry of Jesus, they were an example of faithful and unselfish service to the Lord, among the women who served the Lord during their ministry we want to highlight Mary Magdalene, which within the women's group excels as a special servant, for which she received
a special reward from the Lord.
The 4 Gospels narrate the events of the resurrection, the Gospels of John and Mark indicate that the first appearance of the risen Jesus was Mary Magdalene being alone, regardless of that, Mary Magdalene was also part of the group of women before whom Jesus made the next appearance
each of us must be more faithful to the Lord, because God wants us to be faithful, God has promised in his word to reward the faithfulness of the believers who serve him.
Let's imitate the example of fidelity shown by these women as followers of Jesus, they were loyal to Christ at all times and regardless of the circumstances. They showed that they loved Christ to the level of not fearing the enemies of Christ. They committed themselves to Christ to the point that they dedicated time, effort, and resources
needed in his ministry.
Remember that we are united with Christ in a spiritual brotherhood, and that it was Christ who gave us the privilege of being made children of God. This will help us to identify more with the life of Christ and be more faithful in his work. Let us persecute the promises of the Word of God for the faithful: Psalm 101: 6, "6My eyes will I put on the faithful of the earth, so that they are with me ... ", Revelation 2:10," Do not fear at all what you are going to suffer. Behold, the devil will cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried, and you shall have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. "Ask yourself: What is my level of fidelity to Christ? And pray to God to increase your
fidelity.
