It was in the likeness of GOD that the human being was created, and not the other way around. But very often man wants to make the Almighty like him, with ordinary passions and convictions. Merely focused on the here and now. Leaving aside the heavenly plan for your life.
Wanting to mold the Eternal to us is dangerous, could get us away from Him, from what He wants for our lives and blessings. And in the worst case lose the salvation that gives his Son Jesus Christ.
It is incredible that unsuccessful human convictions lead man to perdition. Nowadays there are men with the conviction that inside they are women, and this leads them to undergo surgical and hormonal procedures to fulfill their twisted dream. And in the end they still have a great existential void. This instead of having submitted to the perfect plan that GOD had, including his sexual gender.
In the same way fear fears the human being to be a servant of manias and not of GOD. The enemy sows fear in hearts and bears fruit to bondage. Convincing them that they can not have physical contact with other human beings, that they get sick from something deadly by breathing the air or that an accident will happen to them as soon as they leave their homes. Forgetting so they were created as free beings in resemblance to GOD.
And to a lesser but equally incorrect extent, the children of GOD allow that in their hearts there are traces of their old lives that manifest with resentment, hatred and undue desires. The foregoing preventing them from growing in Jesus Christlikeness. We believers often miss the best version of our lives as we try to mold GOD to our dreams and convictions. Instead of seeking the divine plan and manifesting our resemblance to GOD.
Discover the characteristics of GOD in the Bible, and look more and more like Him. He does not fear, he is loving, kind, cheerful, merciful, orderly and abundant.
You were created in resemblance to GOD. Live that way.
This is so true, I have had to fight with this type of person, and always his childhood, his past, they are sad, they are marred, by the attitude of their parents, their environment, and they enter a state of confusion.
