celestialchallenge:sunday-light

in #steemchurch7 years ago

First of all, I thank God for another day with the steemit family and thanks to @steemchurch and @sirknight for their #celestialchallenger initiative

Let's talk about God and Jesus Christ as light of life, the light of God is real. It is available to everyone! It gives life to all things, It has the power to attenuate the pang of the deepest wound; it can be a healing balm for the loneliness and sickness of our soul. In the furrows of despair, you can sow the seeds of a brighter hope. It can light the deepest valleys of pain, illuminate the path ahead and guide us through the darkest night until we reach the promise of a new dawn.

Jesus Christ for his part is light of life because he is a child of God and came to this world to save us and free us from our sins, to rescue the soul of man, and as he passed through this world he stopped his power and showed his glory in many areas of life, among those so glorious things is when he healed a blind man from birth.

(Jn 9: 1-12) "When Jesus passed by, he saw a man blind from birth, and his disciples asked him," Rabbi, who has sinned, this man or his parents, that he may have been born blind? "Jesus answered: No it is that he did not sin, nor his parents, but so that the works of God may be manifested in him.I must do the works of him who sent me, while the day lasts, the night comes, when no one can work. I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

And having said this, he spat on the ground, and made mud with the saliva, and anointed the eyes of the blind man with the mud, and said to him, Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam (which is translated, Sent). It was then, and he washed, and came back seeing. Then the neighbors, and those who had previously seen that he was blind, said: Is not this the one who sat and begged? Some said: He is; and others: He looks like him. He said: I am. And they said to him: How were your eyes opened? He answered and said: The man whose name is Jesus made mud, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam, and wash yourself; and I went, and I washed, and I received the sight. Then they said to him: Where is he? He said: I do not know. "

The Lord gave sight to a man blind from birth, serves as an illustration of what Jesus is constantly doing in his condition of Light of the world.

Christ is the light of the world. It is the true light that will illuminate the path of our life to reach eternal salvation. But when men insist on seeing the "light" with wooden glasses or simply do not accept it for pride, Christ has no other choice but to respect our freedom.

We can also enter the sin of pride if we are not attentive. We can see obvious signs of God's presence, of his love in our lives and not accept them because we are more blind than the blind man of birth.

Therefore, we must be open to the light of the truth that is Christ and not blind ourselves to our pride. Accept Christ, accept his friendship and his love, accept the truth of his words and believe in his promises; recognize that their teaching will lead us to happiness and, finally, to eternal life.
