So many times, we just Pray placing demands. We rarely thank God, and even when we thank HIM, we don't thank him with the right mindset.
Thanksgiving shows gratitude. The kind of Thank givers that God wants to see are not those that thank him for what he's done for them, but those that have made thanksgiving a habit.
He loves those that thank him always. These are people that understand God so much to know that he's deeply in their life affairs.
It's wrong to thank God just when you think he's done something for you. The reason is because the human mind cannot figure out all that God has done. There is so much that he's done that we're ignorant about. So the kingdom way is to thank him always.
Who Are Thankgivers ?
They are Men of faith. It takes a matured level of faith to thank God always (Even when you don't see the answers to your prayers coming).
Faith is the reality of things hoped for, even for testimonies that haven't arrived yet.
Hebrews 11:1(KJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Those who live a life of praise are persons of wisdom. Thanking God is a display of wisdom. The fact remains that a good way to request something from God is through Thanksgiving.
Philippians 4:6 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
They are Men who know how to draw God's attention. In the book of psalms, David talked about thanksgiving so much. I'm sure that it's was the secret that worked for him.
Daniel was a Man that had God's full backing and it was revealed in the scriptures that the prayer of thanksgiving is the kind of prayer he does.
Daniel 6:10(KJV)
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
The prayer of thanksgiving involved God deeply in Daniel's life.
Men of praise are those who get multiplies. Thanksgiving makes God increase the resources of men.
Matthew 15:36 (KJV) And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
Seven loaves of bread and few fishes was multiplied to feed thousands of men because Jesus gave thanks.
A CALL TO A LIFE OF PRAISE
Life Of Praise
What comes out of your mouth is not a complain. Rather, What comes out of your mouth is "the Lord giveth and the Lord takeths away Blessed be the name of the Lord".
In other words, whenever I lose, I'm not ascribing it to the devil. Whenever I'm broken, I'm not ascribing it to the devil, because the devil can't do anything unless he gets God's permission. And anybody who has to ask for permission cannot be in charge.
If you praise him, you'll bless yourself, you'll bless your neighbor, you'll bless your community, you'll bless your country, you'll bless the world.
Still having your joy, don't lose your mind. Despite the odds, praise him.
When we praise God, we provoke the heavens for action and her flood gates opens causing God's abundant rain of blessings to fall on us; we set the Angels of God on duty.
Praise launches us into the extraordinary and makes the supernatural manifest here in the physical. A man of praise is a man after God's heart and one who commands the glory of God.
Praise is not continent on the present circumstance, neither is it dependent on the current situation. Praise is thanking God despite the difficulties. It's lifting God over our problems. Praise is acknowledging God in our hearts.
Our gratitude towards God is shown. Our lips being opened show forth his praise. We thank him for what he has done, for what he is doing, and for what he will continue to do.
David the Psalmist is our hero when it comes to radical praise. He praised God in and out of season until praise became a lifestyle for him.
The realm of praise is the realm where God operates in, for he inhabits the praises of His children.
Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
There's a saying that when we pray, God sends down his angels to our rescue, but when we praise, he comes down himself to our aid.
St. Jerome will say that "he that sings well, prays twice". Praise is winning the heart of God and provoking him for immediate action. This act has to be a habitual action.
Praise affects you, it affects the devil, and it affects God. It touches everything and every part of your life. Likewise, a lack of praise affects you in a negative way, turns the devil loose in your life, and doesn’t bless God. You have to get this area of your life right. Weldone Gracehills. PEACE!
