Until we know the promises hidden in God's Word, we cannot enjoy its manifestations. The most effective way of praying is backing up your prayers with the Word of God.
Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
This reveals that when there's a man to pray, there's a God to answer. He has promised that when we pray, we should believe, and when we believe, our prayers are answered.
And Jesus went further saying "what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Matt 7:9-11)
Our Father in heaven is deeply committed to answering our prayers, but first, it must be channeled in the right way.
This can only be achieved when we are abreast of his promises upon our lives and his intention is every situations that concerns us. Therefore, I'll be revealing promises of God's Word, it's significance and locations subsequently.
Part 1 contains 7 promises which we will begin with because seven stands for number of perfection. The verses will be taken from KJV (otherwise stated).
HERE ARE SEVEN PROMISES OF GOD'S WORD
- Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
Without God's Spirit, there are no Christians. Power over the enemy and authority to conquer only comes from God through spiritual empowerment. Prophecy, dreams and visions are essential tools in daily Christian living. They can only be put into use when the giver (God) is present. They are the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
When we have God on our side, fear loses its foundation while faith is increased. The greatest helper we can ever have is God (for in His absence, we are weak).
- Isaiah 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
This is one of my favourite verses. It's a verse for warfare. God has promised to fight our battles for us and as a good Shepherd, save we his sheep from danger. It's therefore our duty to remind Him in prayers.
- Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
In Good News Bible translation, it says "I will bless those who trust me". He's promised to bless us spiritually, psychologically, financially, materially etc when we put our trust in Him.
- Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
When we come to Him, He will give us rest. We must also be aware of the fact that the kind of rest He gives is not the kind of rest that the world gives. He'll guide us even in the midst of the storm.
- Isaiah 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
God has promised to speak out to encourage us and that He will not be silent until we are saved. This is the source of our strength.
- Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
As a merciful God which God is, He has promised that He will NEVER forget us. Those who we love may part from us, but He will not.
Let us therefore keep growing in manifesting His promises as Sons and daughters of the Kingdom.
We don't know how we missed this. Thanks for contributing to SteemChurch. God's love is evident in the things he has done for us too.

Thanks for sharing this. I agree with you, God is merciful and wants us to get closer to him. He invites us to build a better relationship with him. He loves us so much, and he wants us to reciprocate that love.
Indeed there is power in the word of God, thanks for sharing
God's word is ye and amen when we know the blessings embedded in the word of God, then we will not hesitate to familiarize ourselves with God's words.
It's God's words that created the heaven and the earth. and when we starts to dwell in God's promises we will key to the power in his words.
" when there's a man to pray, there's a God to answer. He has promised that when we pray, we should believe, and when we believe, our prayers are answered"
The lord sure answers our prayers!
Any times we dont know what we misse from God and not harkening to his promises
"Until we know the promises hidden in God's Word, we cannot enjoy its manifestations. The most effective way of praying is backing up your prayers with the Word of God."
We've to know that he is the only one we seek.
The promises of God are yes and amen. The promises of a God never fails. Whatsoever he promises his believers he gives. To tap of his power and blessings, one must seek his kingdom, then every other things shall be added
God's words are powerful, is life, the promise of God's are many lemme just mention few, He has promised an end to death, sorrow, and pain. It's in the Bible, Revelation 21:4, NKJV. "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
We should hold unto God's promises cause he always keeps them!
