The Scripture overtime has extensively talked about the place of believing. By believing, we mean - to put all our confidence in Him and to rest on His will.
It's God's will that we come into His family. But such can only be manifested when we BELIEVE. Receiving Him is birthed out of our believe of Him.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
Therefore, we receive eternal endowment and supernatural Empowerment only and only when we believe:
believing when the odds go against us
believing in times of difficulties
believing in when you're in the storms of life
believing even when others compromise the standards
believing despite the national hardships
believing in spite of the economic struggles
believing in moments of temptation
... and believing in Him in the presence of the multitude of challenges.
The truth is that it demands God's grace for we to believe to this altitude. It also requires a level of Constance on the aspect of "the study of God's Word,".
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
FAITH BRINGS US INTO IMMORTALITY

Yes, not just that we become Children of God - Sons and Daughters of the Kingdom - rather, this eternal substance called "faith" brings us into immortality.
John 11:25-26 in KJV version says:
Jesus said unto her (Martha), "I am the resurrection, and the life and he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (emphasis mine)
You can't have eternal life and yet, be entangled under the bondage of death. Such soul cannot be consumed by this eternal doom because the individual is a citizenship of Heaven - a home for God's chosen people - for those who believe.
We come into freedom when we believe - freedom from death, freedom from damnnation... because we've come into the fullness of light which is the God kind of life.
THE FOUNDATION OF THE CHRISTIAN JOURNEY
When we believe in the wrong thing, we produce inevitably, the wrong kind of results. Similarly, when we believe rightly - we shall live rightly.
Therefore, the fruits we bear is hugely contingent on our belief system. If the latter is toxic, the former will be negative, otherwise positive, the former will be fruitful (vice versa).
Faith solidifies our knowledge of God and helps us to maintain our stand in Him, deeply rooted in God.
It is that which unites the Christian family as a body of Christ.
There are a lot of Parables in the Scripture that the Master, Jesus Himself used to express the importance of this substance "faith", (as well as stories and events).
It's a catalyst for miracles - bringing that which do not exist into existence and an Armour for walking in the Supernatural realm.
Just as Jesus asked, He's still asking again:
Will the Son of man find such amount of faith when He comes?
Salvation in Christ Jesus gives impacts eternity into our Spirits
