baptism in the Holy Spirit attains two things.
Firstly, it cling us spiritually with the death and resurrection of Christ, uniting us with Him.
Secondly, baptism in the Holy Spirit joins us to the body of Christ, and identifies us as united with other believers.
Practically, baptism in the Holy Spirit means we are risen with Him to newness of life (Romans 6:4"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.") and that we should exercise our spiritual gifts to keep the body of Christ functioning properly as stated in 1 Corinthians 12:13."For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free;"
