Some person's response particularly to when they are given task to do, tend to act humbly by refusing it thinking they cannot do it or they are not worthy which is thinking lowly of yourself which is really not humility, and some persons these days are so arrogant even in the church and claim that is just the way they are.
1 Peter 5:6 (KJV) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
The docility of most Christians as regards humility are from their place of worship, teaching on their self-esteem and how they should present themselves in today's world, where person formidably speculate your being on first impression and this has a long way on their thinking about you. Lacking humility has been a source of chagrin to persons who fall in this category.
Philippians 2:5-8 (KJV) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Talking about humility is inexhaustible, and there are lots of examples of false humility that could be listed here but in order not to bore you with all of that, let us ask God to give us a humble heart and give us wisdom to differentiate humility and false humility which is also pride.
We are glad to have you here. Watch out for our SMT - Beautitudes. We would also suggest you read other posts on the steemchurch tag and leave your heartfelt comments. Once again, thanks for your contribution.
