Jeremiah 17:5-8 NKJV - Thus says the Lord(YHVH): “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord(YHVH). For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord(YHVH), And whose hope is the Lord(YHVH). For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
Your mission if you choose to accept it, is to speak to a king and share with him a message of correction. Sounds easy enough you think, but and it’s a big but; you must control your emotions and ignored your stomach pains and get out of there without wanting to go back and without eating or drinking a thing from those in the land where you’re being sent to. If you choose to accept this mission you will be doing it solo, just heed the warnings that have been explained and you should be fine!
I Kings 13:8-11 NKJV - But the man of God(Elohim) said to the king, “If you were to give me half your house, I would not go in with you; nor would I eat bread nor drink water in this place. For so it was commanded me by the word of the Lord(YHVH), saying, ‘You shall not eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came.’ ” So he went another way and did not return by the way he came to Bethel. Now an old prophet dwelt in Bethel, and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God(Elohim) had done that day in Bethel; they also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king.
The maze of life; when viewed in the rearview mirror of the past, can seem like its easy to see what could have been done different. But when thinking ahead, why is it we think the hard part is over and say to ourselves we got it from here?
I Kings 13:13-19 NKJV - Then he said to his sons, “Saddle the donkey for me.” So they saddled the donkey for him; and he rode on it, and went after the man of God(Elohim), and found him sitting under an oak. Then he said to him, “ Are you the man of God(Elohim) who came from Judah?” And he said, “I am. ” Then he said to him, “Come home with me and eat bread.” And he said, “I cannot return with you nor go in with you; neither can I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place. For I have been told by the word of the Lord (YHVH), ‘You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.’ ” He said to him, “I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord(YHVH), saying, ‘Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’ ” (He was lying to him.) So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water.
So here another question, is it easier to ask for forgiveness or permission if you were already given instructions by the Father? Here’s my 2 cents, follow the instructions given and stop trying to find the buts in life, things will be better for us all when we do.
I Kings 13:23-25 NKJV - So it was, after he had eaten bread and after he had drunk, that he saddled the donkey for him, the prophet whom he had brought back. When he was gone, a lion met him on the road and killed him. And his corpse was thrown on the road, and the donkey stood by it. The lion also stood by the corpse. And there, men passed by and saw the corpse thrown on the road, and the lion standing by the corpse. Then they went and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.
Reflections:
“Thoughts become perception, perception becomes reality. Alter your thoughts, alter your reality.” ~ William James (1842—1910)
Psalms 119:1-6 NKJV - Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law(Torah/instructions) of the Lord(YHVH)! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity(sin); They walk in His ways. You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently. Oh, that my ways were directed To keep Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commandments.
Romans 3:27-31 ---
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is [a]justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. 29 Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, 30 since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
