St. John (Chapter 3), be born again.

In the Holy Gospel of Jsus Christ, according to St.Jhon, chapter 3, we can read:

"1 And there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
2 This man came to Jesus by night, and said to him: Rabbi, we know that thou art come a
teacher from God; for no man can do these signs which thou dost, unless God be with him.
3 Jesus answered, and said to him: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith to him: How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time
into his mother's womb, and be born again?
5 Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the
Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.
7 Wonder not, that I said to thee, you must be born again.
8 The Spirit breatheth where he will; and thou hearest his voice, but thou knowest not whence
he cometh, and whither he goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. "

This passage leaves us a lot to think about.
Nicodemus was a teacher of the law, belonging to the group of the Pharisees. We must remember that the Pharisees believed in the resurrection of the dead, unlike the Sadducees, so we can assume that they had a certain spirituality.

Many teachers of Christian spirituality expose that the fact that Nicodemus was in the "night", has a meaning that relates the lack of the true light that illuminates men, and that Nicodemus probably perceived within himself.
In addition, the first thing he argues is that he considers Jesus as Rabbí, and when he says "we" he is referring to at least one sector of the Pharisees who recognized him by the miraculous signs he did and that they credited him as coming of God.
Jesus' answer is much deeper than Nicodemus insinuated: Being born again to see the Kingdom of God
Clearly the thought of Nicodemus is directed to the tangible, human at last: How to do to return to the womb of my mother.
And directly Jesus tells him: that is not the way, it is not the flesh, it is the spirit.

And what can we think?

In our spiritual darkness, in the darkness of our circumstances, do we feel the need to start again? to start a new path?
When that happens and we appeal in deep prayer, alone with him, we can experience this dialogue. We will stay with your thoughts: it is not the flesh, it is not what comes from you, from your customs or from the world.
Lord, make me be born again.

May the Lord bless to us.
Thanks for reading the publication, and sharing it.
