OVERCOMING TEMPTATIONS AND OBSTACLES

The devil is an intimidator. His goal is simple- to make you look small before your own eyes. And mind you, if you look down on yourself, others will invariably look down on you. The story is told of the representatives of the children of Israel who were sent to go and check the land. They came back with a negative report; part of which shows that they were intimidated. "we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight" , they said. Of course, the people who made this report never made it to the land. In other words, they could not live the dream.
The twelve spies

If you allow the devil he try to intimidate you with just about anything in sight. For some, he tells them they are uneducated; only to turn to some others and say they are too educated. He may tell you that you are too old for something, while he will tell others that they are too young. You need to hush the devil in the name of the lord.

I would also love to show us some keys to overcoming obstacles and temptations we face in our daily lives.

KNOW YOUR GOD-GIVEN IDENTITY
First and foremost you must know who you are in Christ and whose you are in Christ. The enemy of your soul does not want you to discover who you really are in Christ.
KNOW YOUR GOD-GIVEN AUTHORITY
Part of our inheritance is the delegated authority. He gave us over ALL the power of the enemy :
Luke 10:19 states: “Behold I have given YOU authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means injure you.”
DISPLACE FEAR WITH LOVE AND DEVELOP A STRONG LOVE BY WALKING IN GOD’S GRACE
Perfect love casts our fear (I John 4:18) and when we recognize we have already received perfect love from Jesus Christ AND that He can give us the grace to fully walk in love with our enemies, He will fight all of our battles for us. Again, our warfare is not with flesh and blood but with the forces of evil and darkness in high places. And though we walk in the flesh we do not war in the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.” (2 Corinthians 10:3,4) .
BE QUICK TO FORGIVE!
Two landing strips in our lives for the enemy to use as obstacles are unforgiveness and unconfessed sin. If not dealt with these become open portals for the enemy to wreak havoc in our emotional lives and can lead to physical health consequences.

I strongly suggest and recommend taking the enemy’s hooks out of yourself and decide to forgive which is a choice and leave vengeance to God.
