We live in a time where civilization and sin go hand in hand, and humanity is struggling every day to get out of the great vices that keep them wrapped up. That is why with this message I want to help you to reflect because we do not advance as people both in society and in our spiritual life.
On one occasion in a country called New Guinea they went through a great crisis that they had to eat monkeys, but the monkeys when they saw that they were scourged by humanity to eat their meat, they became crafty, and it was already difficult for the inhabitants to grab them. But they found out that the monkeys like to eat rice, so they looked for a way to catch them by means of rice.
After thinking so much, they decided to take a coconut, open a hole where the monkey's hand came in, put the rice inside the coconut and put it in a trap, when the monkeys put their hands and wielded the rice inside the coconut, it was impossible to escape because his hand was trapped inside the coconut and that way the inhabitants trapped the monkeys.

Similar happens to us we know that there are things that can cause death but we do not want to let go because we like it a lot, and also because it costs us to get rid of it. The Bible teaches us that we should fix our gaze on Jesus the author of the consummate of Faith, while our eyes are set on Him we can advance in our spiritual life without allowing problems, vices and sin to trap us.
Hebrews 12: 2
Put your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of the faith, who for the joy set before him suffered the cross, despising the reproach, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God.
The bible gives us example multitudes of people who decided to shed what hurts them by following Jesus. Among them we can talk about the great tax collector called Saqueo.

The book of Luke 19 tells us about this great opportunity that this man had that I took full advantage, I do not wait long to descend from the tree to attend Jesus in his house, this first thing we must do to be able to divest ourselves, to have an encounter with God and tell you our things, perhaps there may be fear in you for the way God can react when confessing your vices or sins.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us, therefore, approach the throne of grace with confidence, in order to obtain mercy and find grace for the opportune help.
Saqueo knew that getting close to Jesus could receive liberation from everything that tormented him, it was a great impact on his encounter that he dedicted to distribute all his goods and return the triple if he stole any, because this makes his life in peace and love.
From the moment we are free from all that hurts us, it is the same moment that we can strip ourselves of all those things that make us live bitter and troubled, only God can allow us to live a life to the fullest and in holiness.
Every miracle deserves to be sacrificed, and for that to happen there must be a stripping of something that costs us, that is why God emptied his only son so that we are all free and not a slave of sin. That great sacrifice allowed us to achieve mercy and health at all times, God with his great love and mercy that characterizes him had to shed the most valuable to be a blessing to humanity, we must take that example if we want our family to be blessed We must divest ourselves of everything that hurts us in order to be blessed.
We fill our mind with thoughts that do not allow us to move forward, habits that limit us, distractions that divert us, negative people that exhaust us, fear that paralyzes us and things that consume our time and make us unproductive. We spend too much time on things that do not matter, and we neglect those that do. We are filled with many things that generate negative energy and leave us with no positive energy in our life. " Paul writes: "Get rid of ... your old way of living ... let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes" (Ephesians 4: 22-23 NLT).
