“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” – Proverbs 10:22.
It pays to serve God wholeheartedly. Those who follow after God never lack His blessings. God blesses His children in diverse ways. Apart from financial blessing, we also enjoy other blessings money cannot buy. Such as the gift of life, favour, inner peace, and good sleep, (people take medication before they can sleep).
Psalm 127:2 (NIV) says, “He grants sleep to those He loves.” Sleep is not automatic for everyone so do not take it for granted. Other blessings also include the joy of the Lord – where your surrounding or the things happening around you do not determine your mood; good health – without good health you cannot enjoy your wealth. Sickness drains you financially plus it steals your joy.
Good marriage, promotion, children, protection, wisdom, etc. are all part of God’s blessings. Beloved, let us not concentrate on those things we are believing God for and lose track of the other blessings God has bestowed on us. God hates ingrates. Deuteronomy 8:10 (NLT) ~ “When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.”
We also enjoy spiritual blessings. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3). We enjoy adoption as God’s children, eternal life, sanctification, pardon or forgiveness of sins, among others. You are blessed than you think. Don’t let the devil steal your joy.
