We should always draw closer to God and obey him, so as to be able to sleep even when the wind blows.
Are we able to sleep when the wind blows? The time to prepare for a storm is before it happens as the story above illustrates. The same principle applies to our spiritual life we must prepare beforehand. we must be obeying and practicing (doing) God’s instruction now so our “house” is not ruined in the storm.we have the reminder in the parable of the Ten Virgins to make sure our “lamps” are full and trimmed for Christ’s return so we are not on the wrong side of the closed door.
