STEEMCHURCH/ CONTEST: Inspiring today's generation

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

Greetings brothers of steemchurch, I have always been passionate about the history of Christian movements in the world, in fact, I firmly believe that today's society will have a real change, if Christians seek God with all their heart.

and you will look for me and you will find me, because you will seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13

An Inspiration for me is:

María Woodworth-Etter

He was born in 1844, before entering the evangelistic ministry he was sickly constituted, also because of various diseases he lost five of his six children.

Despite the blow of this tragedy, Maria began to preach among her relatives, soon after she was called from all over to carry out revival meetings, at the age of 40 she carried out evangelistic crusades throughout the country. Sometimes in a single night 25,000 souls would gather to listen to her.

"I remember like it was yesterday, that my friend and I pushed my mother in her wheelchair along six or seven long blocks ... Two large men carried the chair up to the circular pulpit that was already surrounded by wheelchairs . It was so hot that my mother begged us to take her home, but I insisted that we stay. Glory to God, because they pointed her to the platform, where that beautiful little lady that I will never forget, spoke to my mother. I saw her answer by shaking her head and then she [Sister Etter] hit her in the chest (it seemed to me that she had hit her very hard). It was as if a lightning strike through her, she jumped up and ran out and leapt full of joy. All the people shouted; I doubt they had seen something like that before. We saw many more miracles. We almost had to tie my mother to the chair to return home. She wanted to walk, but she was weak, because she had been confined to her bed for two years. When we got home, my grandmother and some neighbors were waiting for us. My mother got up from the wheelchair and climbed the stairs. Everyone shouted and cried. From that day on, my mother was completely healthy, regained weight, and loved the Lord "(personal testimony of Elizabeth Waters)

At eighty, Maria Woodworth-Etter had deteriorated health, suffered gastritis and dropsy. Her only remaining daughter died in an accident, at the wake, Mary exhorted those present to "look at the sky and not the grave." Because of her fragile health, they took her in a chair to preach to the church, she stood on the platform and preached with power, at the end of the meeting they took her again in a chair to her house, where she was still bedridden. to the sick people who came to pray for them. He died at the age of 80, after having preached thousands of evangelistic sermons, traveled hundreds of cities, traveled in uncomfortable cars and trains of the time, sleeping in tents and attending to all who requested it. Of austere and humble life, according to the character of those of the Holiness Movement, he joined the historical Pentecostal Movement, was greatly admired and loved for his closeness to the people; They called her "Mother Etter" or "Grandma Etter".

Maria Woodworth-Etter, was a true woman of God, dedicated and passionate for the cause of Christ, I fight to the end and had thousands of followers, who recognized that Jesus was in his life.

Thank you for your attention, thanks to #SteemChurch, @Sirknight and CEO @emiliocabrera for this initiative that inspires us to believe that we can have great victories in society. Something God is going to do that is preparing a people to move God on Earth!

Thanks to our dear Mice @sniffnscurry for their continued support.

The story is full of heroine Kristal, Maria Woodworth-Etter is one of them, we should not expect to feel comfortable doing the work of God, we hope that much of what we say here, we will bring it to reality.

Thank you for your good participation in Church events.

Amazing and inspiring story from @Kristal01. Maria Woodworth-Etter was a great woman and a lesson for us. Whether in health or not, when needs are met or not, our life is to be lived for Christ and the kingdom.

Wow! Amazing! God bless you @kristal01

A woman who paid a price for following and serving God, this instinct inspires, and should inspire many who find it difficult to preach the gospel for lack of comfort. a car, hot food, a big bed with clean sheets to rest.

She was passionate about Jesus.

Good story @ kristal01, there are times I wonder, why is it so difficult to see today women surrendered to God of that magnitude, as were many women of the last century?

Thank you for teaching us about this great woman, may God inspire the ladies of steemchurch to be passionate about Jesus.

It is a story where love for others is imposed on one's own interests. Excellent post
