Waking up daily is a daily miracle that demands thanks given to God. Most times when hearing from God is being talked about people expect to here a loud voice speaking to them from the sky not knowing God's word is all around us in the form of the Bible and his servants.
We as christains need to establish a good relationship with God. As you have said about some christain, is not only prayers that matters in communicating with God but also praises and thanks given. We have negleted so many doctrine of christ and we have failed to hear from God.
