Introduction:
Daring simply refers to having the courage to do or challenge something risky or brave. The impossible you dare makes way for you to reach the top. A journey to the top and to a place of prominence is not a game of chance, rather it is a deliberate and purposeful act. It is never enough to pray for lifting reason being that the place for God's children as originally designed by God is above and never beneath.
Deuteronomy 26:18 And today God has reaffirmed that you are dearly held treasure just as he promised, a people entrusted with keeping his commandments,
Deuteronomy 26:19 a people set high above all other nations that he's made, high in praise, fame, and honor: you're a people holy to God, your God. That's what he has promised.
Paul wrote in affirmation that our calling is a high calling. That notwithstanding, not every believer will actually reach that height of their calling. Until, you dare to do the impossible, you will remain in the realms of the impossible. Remember, when you are walking, you walk with many, when you run, you run with few, but when you fly, you fly alone. It takes standing out to be outstanding.
Philippians 3:14 -- I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.
Daniel and Sampson were lifted by God , yet they achieved their feats by daring the impossible. The lion challenge they had was to bring out the Lion inside of them. If you do not face challenges, the best in you will never show forth, and until you overcome your challenges, upliftment will never be possible.
CHARACTERS THAT DARED THE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEIR LIFTING
Almost all the heroes in the Bible came from challenging to the top, e.g Abraham (Genesis 12:1-8), Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Caleb, Gideon etc. Some of them did not even have a name but because of daring the impossible, they were raised to the position of leadership. They became kings and governors.
None of fellows attained their greater heights on a platter of gold. They dared the impossible.
Genesis 12:1 God told Abram: "Leave your country, your family, and your father's home for a land that I will show you.
Genesis 12:2 I'll make you a great nation and bless you. I'll make you famous; you'll be a blessing.
Genesis 12:3 I'll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I'll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you."
Genesis 12:4 So Abram left just as God said, and Lot left with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.
Genesis 12:5 Abram took his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot with him, along with all the possessions and people they had gotten in Haran, and set out for the land of Canaan and arrived safe and sound.
Genesis 12:6 Abram passed through the country as far as Shechem and the Oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites occupied the land.
Genesis 12:7 God appeared to Abram and said, "I will give this land to your children." Abram built an altar at the place God had appeared to him.
Genesis 12:8 He moved on from there to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent between Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. He built an altar there and prayed to God.
WHAT YOU MUST DO FOR YOUR UPLIFTMENT
Be willing to serve: Many people that became leaders were servants, people like Joseph, Ruth, Esther, Moses, Mordecai, etc, even our Lord Jesus took a form of a servant. It is in serving that we meet opportunities for our lifting.
Be Fearless: Dare to face what others fear and you will become what others are not ; have what others have not, reach were others cannot reach.
Have a secret life of victory : David's boldness came from his secret life of victory.
Refuse discouragement in your course of going up.
Major in your strength: Use what you have and it will give you what you want.
Don't be a noise maker but a hard worker: Many people now spend time on packaging instead of product. Always remember that God does not reward hard woods instead He rewards hard work.
Trust and acknowledge God.
Until you reach the top, don't give yourself rest.
Aim at the top: David aimed at the forehead of the philistine not the feet or the belly. In everything you do, always aim at the top, press towards the mark for the prize of a high calling.
Refuse premature applause and praise from men.
Deliberately stay ahead.
Conclusion :
Many people wish to be lifted by God, but only a few work for their lifting. Someone once said;
I believe in luck because the more I work hard, the luckier I become.
Work hard and be humble before the Lord and He will certainly lift you up.
See you at the top!!
