Ministering is more of the spirit than the flesh. Singing in the church is more of a calling than a gift. This is what many people do not know and it tends to hinder the flow of the spirit of God.
John 4:23 --- But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
God is in search of true worshippers. Those that will worship Him from their very being. Having a very good voice doesn't make you a true worshipper because it is a display of what you have and not what God has; it is a display of yourself and not God's glory. Let's learn to listen to the Holy Spirit.
Let's leave the realm of noise to the realm of prophetic singing. A Levite/Psalmist is a prophet; this we see in the life of David. If you read through the book of Psalms, you will discover many prophecies concerning Jesus.
God is spirit so learn to worship Him in the spirit. When one worships God in the spirit, the physical and natural things doesn't matter. Reduce noise making.
Worship is that act in our hearts that we make God the Lord through our actions, thinking, and lifestyle, etc.
