STEEMCHURCH: Treasure seekers

Proverbs 2: 4-5

Many men have always dreamed of finding buried treasures, left there by an ancient civilization or perhaps at the bottom of the sea as part of a ship that has suffered a shipwreck. They have created legends of hidden treasures and maps that indicate the exact location of a precious treasure, certainly there are real treasures of shipwrecks, ancient civilizations and people with many assets that once hid great wealth, then die without giving data some of the precious hidden fortune.

Even now there are prospectors of professional treasures, that with the collection of data that serve as a guide or map, undertake this adventure by investing their strength, their time, even their money, with the purpose and purpose of finding the much desired fortune.

The word of God declares that in it there are hidden treasures of more value than those we can find in a sunken ship or lost city. What value do we give to God's treasure? How much are we able to invest in the search for that treasure?

In every believer there must be an almost desperate yearning for the knowledge of the Lord, it is impossible to say that we love God and not show interest in his word, by knowing it, by understanding it, because it is through it that we get to know our Beloved Savior and his will. Jesus commanded us to crumble the scriptures seeking in them the knowledge of Him. John 5:39

If we have a lack of knowledge this makes us easy prey to the deceptions of false doctrines and satan, which would bring as a consequence; a sin, deviating from the truth, even spiritual death, so let's not perish for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4: 6. How many are perishing for not spending time looking for the treasures of wisdom?

The precious treasure of the Lord where the riches of wisdom, intelligence, prudence, justice, fairness, discretion and more are hidden ... all this not brilliant like gold or other precious metal, but with the glorious radiance of the divine presence of the Creator. Clámemos to Him, who in his answer will teach us great and hidden things that we have not known. Jeremiah 33: 3

It will separate us from evil, when we are stalked and satan comes like a serpent questioning the truth of God, we will have in our mouth the precise word to respond to him, like the teacher in the desert, when he was tempted, the enemy using the same word of God told him ; throw yourself, he said of the high pinnacle of the temple, because it is not written that he will send his angels on your behalf so as not to stumble your foot on stone, if it is true! it is written, we would answer if we were without understanding, but it is also written you will not tempt the Lord. (Matthew 4: 5-7) Another reason to love and long for the riches of his glory.

Great examples of how our attitude should be before the riches of his word are found in Psalm 119 where the singers expressed:

*For inheritance I have taken your testimonies.
*Because your law is my delight.
*Better than thousands of gold and silver.
*My eyes fainted at your word.
*They have given me intelligence.
*It has made me wiser than my enemies.

This is what we might call the right attitude of the believer to the holy scriptures of the Lord. Yes, the reality is that the search for the Lord is not a compulsory burden, nor is anyone who wants to find a treasure obliged, it is an act of absolute love, patience, and perseverance, like a seeker with his flashlight, his shovel and his peak, undertakes the task of digging in the earth with the hope that surely that day will find some precious stone that will change your life.

"Consider what I say, and the Lord gives you understanding in everything."
2 Timothy 2: 7

We have to garner knowledge so that we may avoid all these things that bring down men.

Wisdom is a great treasure that hides protection, prudence, fear of God, intelligence, justice, riches, righteousness and many other beautiful virtues. Wisdom is found in the Word of God, it is full of beautiful hidden treasures and it is our decision to discover it. God bless you, thank you for your teaching.
